The Porsche Macan has been snapped by our spy photographers.
Looking like a Cayenne junior, the model has a familiar front fascia, a sloping roofline and an elongated rear hatch. There's also a dual exhaust system, muscular fenders and a tailgate-mounted spoiler.
Engine options remain unconfirmed, but previous reports have suggested the entry-level model will come equipped with a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder petrol that produces 220 hp (164 kW / 223 PS). The Macan S, on the other hand, is expected to use a naturally-aspirated 3.6-liter V6 petrol engine with 295 hp (220 kW / 299 PS).
Rumors have also suggested there will be a 190 hp (142 kW / 193 PS) 2.0-liter TDI, a 250 hp (186 kW / 253 PS) 3.0-liter V6 TDI and a Macan Turbo with a twin-turbo 3.0-liter V6 petrol that produces 370 hp (276 kW / 375 PS) and 400 lb-ft (542 Nm) of torque.
The Porsche Macan will go into production in late 2013 and likely be sold as a 2014 model.
