Drive: Porsche GT3 RS 4.0 v BMW M3 GTS v Mercedes C63 AMG Black Series [video]

British journalist and YouTube's Drive channel host Chris Harris gives a comprehensive comparison of three of the most desired German sports car coupes.

The BMW M3 GTS, Mercedes-Benz C63 AMG Coupe Black Series and Porsche 911 GT3 RS 4.0 are the cream of the crop in terms of performance, exclusivity and price tag.

But Harris breaks it down for us with his most thoughtful impressions and analysis on the road and race circut in this thorough 23 minute episode of Drive.

Set aside the time and make sure you watch it in its entirety. You won't regret it.

All three are great cars, and the Benz and M3 are the slightly more reserved(relaxed cars) for daily driving to a small degree, the 911 is the best overall car in terms of track performance coupled with street durability. All 3 are great and it really comes down to what you're looking for and more specifically, what you like, in terms of engine, body design and looks, branding etc.

Bimmer has a point because The 911 in this vid is owned by Chris Harris. Good review though.

C63 looks so much meaner than the other two... And you can also get it with rear seats. Since I would be driving it 99,9 % on the road, it's a clear winner for me!

Never been a fan of Porsche, but this GT3 RS is amazing, love all 3 cars, but I prefer stick-shift over others, I wonder what the BMW and the Benz would be like if their back was replaced with nothing but a roll-cage like the Porsche, better competition no doubt

The C63 AMG BS is a great car but needs a 100 - 150 kg weight reduction to be perfect.

Great video. I actually understood everything he was trying to say, and the reason why he was saying what he was saying. This supports what I've concluded about super cars based on saloon/coupe cars like the AMG or M series cars. Laws of physics dictates that for proper sporting fun you need to buy a car based on chasis designed from the start to do just that. AMG or M cars are amazing for being able to over come their pedestrian roots of being born from the C-Class of 3-Series...but you just can't overcome the fact that they are what they are...based on ordinary roadcars.

I'm impressed with M3 GTS and C63 AMG because after all they're still the BMW 3 Series and Mercedes C Class, and GT3 RS is the best car from Porsche, and that tells me how great they are, all cars are simply brilliant and I'll take any one of this over fancy Italians any day.
