Bugatti releases new Veyron Grand Sport L’Or Blanc promo [video]

Art meets automobile

Bugatti has released a new promotional video which highlights the creation of the Veyron Grand Sport L'Or Blanc.

Unveiled at the 2011 Frankfurt Motor Show, the €1.65 ($2.18 / £1.34) million supercar was jointly developed with Königliche Porzellan-Manufaktur Berlin and was the first production vehicle to use porcelain for its interior and exterior styling. According to Bugatti's head of design Achim Anscheidt, the model was "an enormous challenge to our engineering team as every part had to pass harsh automotive testing cycles such as impact testing and daily wear."

Like the standard Grand Sport, the L'Or Blanc was powered by a quad-turbocharged 8.0-liter sixteen-cylinder engine that produced 1,001 PS (736 kW / 987 hp) and 1,250 Nm (922 lb-ft) of torque.
