Fornasari Gigi concept - low res - 12.4.2012

Could be priced from $290,000

According to a recent report, Italy's Fornasari will build a production version of the Gigi concept.

Set to be offered as a coupe and convertible, the Gigi features retro-inspired styling with a ventilated hood, circular headlights and a four-tailpipe exhaust system.

Power will reportedly be provided by a 6.2-liter V8 engine with more than 500 hp (373 kW / 507 PS). It could enable the model to accelerate from 0-60 mph in approximately 3.5 seconds, before hitting a top speed of 200 mph (332 km/h).

There's no word on when the Gigi will be launched, but the coupe is expected to carry an asking price of $290,000 (€220,030).

You might say that the Shelby Cobra is also ugly since it has the same no bumpers design lines!

I think that's quite nicely retro. They should sell the design to Alfa for a 50k grand tourer.

This is gorgeous, both smooth and sinister. However I think they've missed the boat on the price.

The idea is good, the execution is bad...the car is a bad copy of the sixties' Zagato Aston Martin. And guys, 200 mph is 320 Km/h, not 332 Km/h.
