With the bubblegum music post out of the way, we go to the opposite end of the music spectrum with the announcement that legendary rock/metal band Metallica will include a custom car and motorcycle show during the band's Orion music festival which takes place June 23 and 24 at Bader Field in Atlantic City, New Jersey.
In the promo video above, well known car enthusiast and lead singer of Metallica, James Hetfield, talks about the origins of his passion for cars as well as the vision behind the Orion Custom Car and Motorcycle Show. He says the idea was conceived, "so everybody can get a taste of the automobile passion and obsession that I have. The idea is for a Metallica fan to come in and experience stuff they wouldn't normally see if they wouldn't normally go to a car show."
To attract the desired 300+ custom car and motorcycle participants, Metallica is offering two free tickets to the festival and all of its attractions. They include performances from the Arctic Monkeys, Avenged Sevenfold, Modest Mouse and comedian Jim Breuer, but if you're already a Metallica fan then you'll be happy to know the band will play "The Black Album" and "Ride The Lightning" in their entirety on consecutive nights.
