Justin Bieber in his irritating chrome Fisker Karma [video]

Ah yes, the cliche that never gets old - another young American celebrity with too much money is playing the "look at me" game with the media.

Here we have some paparazzi video by TMZ that shows teen pop idol Justin Bieber and his girlfriend Selena Gomez driving through a fast food joint.

Just in case you didn't already know, Justin was given the Fisker Karma live on the Ellen Degeneres Show last month for his 18th birthday, and apparently, much to everyone's delight, had the chrome wrap added.

We can't help but wonder, for the working class American who is struggling to make ends meet, find a job or just has to deal with the inequality of daily life, how it makes them feel when they see a privileged 18 year old kid with an ostentatious $100,000+ car annoying the hell out of everyone?

Struggling Americans probably feel the same way as Brits do about spoiled royals, but it assumes struggling Americans pay attention to Justin Beiber. (I think only teenage girls are watching.) The Karma may have been something picked out for him by his publicist. It doesn't seem like it would be the first choice of most 18 year old boys. Clearly, he doesn't have a pack to help to show him the way.

Some of you guys couldnt have said it any better. The author of this article is sounding way too critical and subjective and turning this into another American bashing thread. Like most said, i dont like that car and wouldnt be caught dead in anything chrome but thats the beauty of living in the good old USA, people can make their own choices and since its a free country, he's allowed to buy and drive whatever he likes. More power to him and anyone else who has talent or work hard for what they have. I dont see you bashing the arabs for their much more expensive, horribly modified gaudy supercars. SMH

He only annoys the envious; Justin doesn't go around killing people; he doesn't sell drugs; he doesn't rely on wealthy parents to spoil him rotten (unlike Bernie Ecclestone's daughters); he doesn't take huge positions in the derivatives markets and then use sly, underhand tactics to destroy a company, the livelihoods of thousands and pocket $15 million in the process. He has a talent that many people are willing to pay to experience. And he has achieved that talent at a very young age: good luck to him. Just remember: workers design and build those cars, and the PR value of him is very high for Fisker.

Thanks for stating the obvious answer to the articles ending question. I'll also add that TMZ is a thousand times more annoying than Bieber and this chrome Fisker.

Whoa whoa whoa, we don't want him! He renounced us... says he's totally American now. :P You all are the ones who created him, let's not drag Canada's good name through the dirt! lol

You guys can keep him. Anyone who is dumb enough to call Europe a country should have their Canadian citizenship revoked. He ain't no Canadian and he sure as hell ain't no Montrealer.

It is right that the wrap doesn't look good at all, it is right that justin bieber sucks but I believe the author of this article was a little too subjective. This is not a website to talk about the inequalities. Contrary to this, this website is about cars and their fans so about people enjoying the look, ride, mechanics or other stuff about cars. Even if it was a good place to talk about inequalities, the American example could be the worst example for it. The working class American earns more than 20,000 dollars a year which a big number of people in our world never saw that much money for their whole lives...

It's not very good recommendation for the Fisker Karma, to me it's negative publicity of this car. If I had a car, I would be a shame if someone said "you have a car like Justin Biber". A long time ago to buy some cars, you had to prove to the manufacturer that you are worthy to ride them;-)

uhhhh, mistake on the article, Justin Bieber is NOT American at all, he is CANADIAN. Along with that, she's an obnoxious "18 year old" (really she's 11 years old) who's a spoiled and untalented brat.
