Lexus LF-LC concept could be produced - report
Lexus LF-LC 2+2 Hybrid Sport Coupe Concept

Chances are 50/50

The Lexus LF-LC concept received critical acclaim when it was introduced at the North American International Auto Show and that praise has the company considering a production version.

Speaking with Autocar, Lexus product planning chief Karl Schlicht said the concept's chances of production are 50/50. He added, "Every top Toyota Motor Company manager is aware of the great reception it has received and now we're talking about how we can do it and fit it into the product plan."

While no decision has been made, Schlicht went on to say "We'd never get it built from a product planning point of view on paper, but people have seen the concept and fallen in love with it. Dealers have gone crazy for it as well."

Please, please, PLEASE (but if for some reason they decide against it, why not give something sporty to Toyota? Scion has the FRS, Lexus has the LFA...Toyota needs something).

Buddy, if you're so into Toyota just get the FRS it is still a Toyota. Anyway, the new MR2 is coming, hold your breath.

Oh, no, I'm not one of those people who refuse to even give the FRS a chance just because it has a Scion badge on it; I personally think it looks better than the BRZ, and if anything, it'll give Scion some eye candy in dealerships. I also LOVE the LF-LC Concept (along with the LFA). I just think that each arm of Toyota- Toyota, Lexus, and Scion- should have something sporty. And now that you've mentioned a new MR2, I'm glad to see Akio Toyoda keeping his word. Because I actually want Toyota to succeed.

I can't say I share your enthusiasm over Toyotas, they may be selling on quality but their driving is very poor. When I drive my work's Auris I find it a crime that on such a well built car they gave such awful steering and drive. I would take a Mazda 3 any day, not to mention the Focus or Astra I also drive and are a couple of classes higher. That said, Toyota needs an upgrade towards the sporty side before I consider one.

They better build it, and figure out how to make the cost as low as possible. Which apparently, won't be easy for Lexus, or would it!?
