Aston Martin V8 Vantage facelift promo [video]

Aston Martin released a new promo video for their 2012 facelifted V8 Vantage.

Adopting the styling from the Vantage S, the entry level model features a new lower front bumper design with air splitter, redesigned side-sills and a new rear bumper equipped with an integrated diffuser. Performance updates also taken from the Vantage S include quicker steering, bigger brakes and wider tires.

Powering the 2012 V8 Vantage is a 4.7-liter V-8 engine putting out the same output of 420bhp ( 426 PS / 313 kW ) compared to the Vantage S output of 430bhp (436 PS / 321 kW) and 490 Nm (361 lb-ft) of torque.

A six-speed manual transmission comes as standard, but the optional six-speed Sportshift automated manual transmission has been replaced with the seven-speed Sportshift II.

Pricing for the Aston Martin V8 Vantage will begin at £84,995 (€108,500 in Germany) in the guise of both coupe and roadster whilst the Vantage S will start at £99,995 (€128,500 in Germany).

I think Aston is just insulting the consumer's intelligence now. If it is a finance issue stopping Aston from developing new models then I think they should reconsider that deal with Daimler.

The only one thing I like about Aston Martin is the interior. I must say, they all have state of the art interior..

That's a facelift? This thing is 10 years old, they are looking for nearly 90k sterling in the UK for this and it is not as fast as an M3. One would need their head examined if they bought this! Give me an Audi R8/991 Carrera S/Maser Gran Turismo/CL500/CLS63 AMG/BMW M5 instead of this!

The ending is a bit of a homage to that Ferrari in Paris video from the 70's.
