Geneva will be packed full of concepts from many of the the world's top automotive manufacturers and we can now add Seat to the list with the first photos of the new Toledo Concept.

Based on the Volkswagen Jetta, the pictures clearly show a concept that is pretty close to production standard. The sedan features the style that has been developed through the IBE, IBX and IBL concept cars and progressed to what we see before you now.

The Toledo concept measures 4.48 meters in length and features seating for 5 people as well as a 500 liter luggage compartment. The technical details of the model are yet to be released, so we'll have to wait until it is unveiled in a few days time.

Following the concept's debut in Geneva, the full production model will be revealed before a market launch towards the year.

Besides the subjective comments about the looks (with which I personally agree), wasn't the Toledo a D segment car, based on the Passat platform? How come it's smaller now? (the Jetta is a C segment car). Where does the Leon fit now?

The new Toledo will sit beneath the León but above the Ibiza. It's a sister car to the Volkswagen Vento and Škoda Rapid, both based on the Polo, so essentially, the newcomer is an Ibiza sedan. Despite what other readers say, I like the design; it's rather utilitarian and charming.

So bland, and the interior looks like it's from the '80s. But the bland cars thing worked for Toyota, i guess VW is trying to do the same.

Look! It's a VW Jetta! Oh no, it's the new Skoda Mission L! Neah, it's the new Seat Toledo. So, after Up!, Citigo and Mii, VAG decided to produce its every model under three different badges: VW, Seat and Skoda. It's gonna be like this: ...what colour, sir? Silver? It's the VW. Red? Take the Seat. Would you like it painted in green? The Skoda it is. Or perhaps you'd like to pay some more money on a slightly improved - but basically the same - car? Well, Audi is the answer.

My goodness... it is BORING. Looks even less interesting then the least interesting production car in the world, the Jetta it is based on. What a let down...
