2013 Jaguar XF Sportbrake leaked image

The 2013 Jaguar XF Sportbrake has become the latest model scheduled to appear in Geneva to leak online. The images look a little grainy suggesting it could be pictures taken from a brochure, but they reveal the rear end in its full glory for the first time.

The new XF Sportbrake is the British brand's alternative to rivals such as the Audi's A6 Avant and BMW's 5-Series Touring. It has had a long running teaser campaign that has seen spy photos officially released as well a teaser image on the model's minisite. Therefore we would not be surprised to hear this latest leak is intentional to drum up a little extra publicity.

Technical details are still under wraps for now, but we expect the same engine line-up from the sedan to carry over. This includes a 2.2-liter four-cylinder diesel with 190 PS (140 kW / 187 hp) and 450 Nm (332 lb-ft) of torque.

What a looker, the D Pillar is stunning. However, the back seems a bit Mondeo-ish somehow...

Attractive looking motor. And we all know the xf is a brilliant handler, so here's to making children and dogs sick in the back.....speaking of which, I wonder if they will make an XFR version to compete with Mercs E63 estate and Audi's RS4 avant? Sadly BMW will be missing a slice of the pie here

if there will ever be an XFR Avant, it will not compete with the Audi RS4 avant - but instead, the S6 Avant (price wise). That is because the XF competes with A6/5-series/E-class. Jag would need an XF-RS Avant to compete with an upcoming RS6 avant - which I think is even less likely to reach production. an XF-RS mule has been spied - but I do not think an avant version will make it into production - who knows!

So it looks just like an XF, except it's an estate? Gee, I certainly never saw that coming.
