Next-generation Renault Twingo / Smart ForTwo mule spied
Could be launched as early as 2014
The Daimler-Renault alliance is starting to bear fruit as our spies have caught the first photos of a next-generation Renault Twingo / Smart ForTwo mule.
Spotted from a distance, the prototype wears a pre-facelift Twingo body which has been dramatically shortened. While the mule doesn't reveal much about the production models, it gives us a glimpse of the ForTwo's footprint.
Engine options remain a mystery, but we can expect a variety of petrol and diesel options. There could also be an EV variant in the same vein as the ForTwo Electric Drive.
The production models could be launched as early as 2014, so expect to learn more in the coming months.

This will NOT be a Twingo. Twingo 3 will have 4 seats and will share a footprint with ForFour 2. This looks like to be a car Renault will add under a Twingo and will share a platform with ForTwo.

Show me another version. I refuse to judge at this time. The car looks promising though.
As for the fellow who said it was a toy car...
His parents should wash his mouth out.
