Ten new model coming by late 2015

New details are starting to emerge about Mercedes' future product lineup.

According to Autocar, the company will launch ten new models by end of 2015. Things will kick off shortly as the redesigned A-Class is scheduled to be unveiled at the Geneva Motor Show. Later on, Mercedes will offer the CLS Shooting Brake.

We can also expect the 2013 GL-Class to be introduced later this year. It will be based on the M-Class and feature a variety of six- and eight-cylinder engines.

The 2013 S-Class could also debut late this year or early next year. Featuring an evolutionary design, the model is expected to spawn five variants: a sedan, a long-wheelbase sedan, a Pullman, a coupe and a convertible.

In 2014, we can expect to see the highly-anticipated SLC sports car. Essentially a pint-sized SLS AMG, the model is expected to be offered as a coupe and convertible. Power will reportedly be provided by a twin-turbo 5.5-liter V8 engine with up to 500 hp (373 kW / 507 PS).

The redesigned C-Class is also due in 2014 and our spy photographers have recently caught the model undergoing cold weather testing. It's slightly larger than the current C-Class and will eventually be offered as a sedan, wagon, coupe and convertible.

In 2015, Mercedes will launch an MLC crossover to battle the BMW X6. Destined to be built in the United States, the model will be based on the M-Class and feature sporty styling.

We can also expect an entry-level GLC crossover, a CLC four-door coupe and a CLC Shooting Brake. All of these models will ride on the MFA platform which underpins the A- and B-Class.

In related news, the magazine is reporting the R-Class will survive in its current form until 2015 - at the earliest. While the model hasn't been terribly popular in Europe or the United States, it is reportedly important for the Chinese market.

It'll be very interesting to see if M-B shows the A-Class model at the New York Auto Show in April 2012, especially given that M-B has pretty much confirmed it is coming to the US market.
