2013 Nissan Pathfinder teased [video]

Launches this fall

Nissan has released a new promotional video for the 2013 Pathfinder.

Recently previewed in concept guise, the production model was tested in Colorado, Idaho and Wyoming. As part of the process, engineers took the crossover off-road, through creeks and into snowy terrain.

According to Senior Product Planner Adam O'Shaughnessy, "The vehicle did very well off-road," despite being "a departure from the previous Pathfinder."

As we have previously reported, the 2013 Pathfinder will be launched this fall and ride on a unibody architecture. Power will be provided by a V6 engine - likely displacing 3.5-liters - which is connected to a continuously variable transmission. This will enable the model to be one of the "most fuel-efficient seven-passenger vehicles on the market."
