BMW M6 Coupe and Convertible videos released - 30 new wallpapers

BMW has released a couple of follow-up promo videos of the 2012/2013 M6 Coupe and Convertible after this past weekend's media reveal.

Both videos show footage of the vehicles together, but each video focusing more on one model than the other. In the video focusing on the convertible, the setting is paradise with white sandy beaches and lots of palm trees. The second video, which focuses on the coupe, is shot at a more interesting location. If you'll notice, the road/race track with distinct surroundings has red and white FIA curbs. Do you know where is this location?

As a reminder, both models are powered by a twin-turbo 4.4-liter V8 engine with 560 PS (412 kW / 552 hp) and 680 Nm (502 lb-ft) of torque. They are connected to a seven-speed M Double Clutch Transmission with drivelogic and launch control. This enables the coupe to accelerate from 0-100 km/h in 4.2 seconds, while the convertible does the same task in 4.3 seconds. Both have an electronically limited top speed of 250 km/h (155 mph), but that can be increased to 305 km/h (189 mph) with the M Driver's Package. In terms of efficiency, the coupe averages 9.9 L/100 km (28.5 mpg UK / 23.7 mpg US) with CO2 emissions of 232 g/km. The convertible, on the other hands, returns 10.3 L/100 km (27.4 mpg UK / 22.8 mpg US) and has CO2 emissions of 239 g/km.

The BMW M6 convertible will arrive at U.S. dealerships in June and the coupe will be launched later this summer. In the UK the M6 hits the market on 15 September 2012 with a price of £93,795 for the Coupe and £98,995 for the Convertible. In Germany the Coupe and Convertible cost €123,600 and €131,000, respectively.

And how much does it weigh? I think I'd prefer a 911 if I needed an excuse for a back seat or and AMG CL if I really needed to seat an adults.

the 6 series doesn't compete with the cl you moron. the $20K+ difference in base price for the v8 model should make that fairly clear. oh wait. you're just a mb fanboy. logic doesn't mean anything.
