The iconic Aston Martin DB5 that appeared in a number of James Bond films in the past is set to make a comeback in Skyfall - the latest addition to the long running film franchise. Confirmation of this news has surfaced after the picture that you see attached to this article was taken during filming in Glencoe, Scotland
It first appeared in Goldfinger way back in 1964 and subsequently appeared in Thunderball, Casino Royale, Tomorrow Never Dies and GoldenEye. But this is the first time since the iconic model made its debut that it will be seen in a full blown car chase.
Whilst it is unlikely to be the exact same model as the one was sold at auction for £2.9 million at a London auction in 2010. The new movie car does however sport the same BMT 216A number plate that it wore in Goldfinger.
The film franchise is set to celebrate its 50th anniversary with Skyfall and stars Daniel Craig as the British secret agent alongside Javier Bardem, Judi Dench and Ralph Fiennes.
Limited details of the plot are known at this time, but according to IMBD. "Bond's loyalty to M is tested as her past comes back to haunt her. As MI6 comes under attack, 007 must track down and destroy the threat, no matter how personal the cost."
It is set to be launched in cinemas on November 9th 2012.
