Aston Martin One-77 down to last unsold unit
Aston Martin One-77, Concorso d'El?ganza Villa d'Este 2009

According to a new report, Aston Martin One-77 has not sold out. It has been confimed by Mark J. Tillman, manager at Aston Martin Tampa Bay that there is still one factory unit left unsold.

Despite being the final model don't expected it to carry the final chassis number. This model is considered extra special and will sell for a little more than the seven-figure base price the super car carries.

The One-77 generates its personality from a 7.3-liter V12 unit that produces 750 bhp (559 kW / 760 PS) and 750 Nm (553 lb-ft) of torque. It features a carbon fiber monocoque chassis and an inboard double wishbone suspension with Dynamic Suspension Spool Valve damping. Other goodies include a six-speed robotized manual gearbox, carbon ceramic brakes, and specially developed Pirelli P Zero Corsa tires.

Does someone know something I don't? I remember AM going around Asia last year trying to sell the last two units... Has it taken over 2 years to sell 76 units?

i think they spent much more than 7 figures to market and sell these 77 cars.. if it's ferrari... would probably just 1 hour to sell 77 cars..

Of course it's absolutely gorgeous - but as it's been said from the very beginning - the appearance just does not match the price tag. It was an exceptionally difficult sell. Think of the Veyron and it's wonderful success... even through excessive versions. $750,000-$780,000 would have been more plausible. If you're going to slap a $1M+ pricetag on a car it should atleast exist on a design a platform and styling arrangement that sharply contrasts the current lineup.
