BMW M135i xDrive caught completely undisguised

A photographer has managed to catch photos of a BMW M135i xDrive prototype while sitting in a parking spot. It is wearing such a small layer of camouflage that it leaves little to the imagination and gives us our best look yet at what the model will look like. The model was caught by a reader at Bimmertoday.de.

Under the hood, the M135i xDrive will house a twin-turbo 3.0-liter engine that generates around 322 hp (240 kW, 326 PS) and up to 450 Nm (332 ft-lb) of torque. Power is passed to the wheels via a six-speed manual or a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic.

I have to say the design is growing on me... I can't help but remember my initial reactions to lots of recent BMWs, and how those changed over time into appreciation for the risks taken as we all saw the Japanese and other companies start to copy the designs...

Do you have a picture that implies this is an xDrive (did somebody climb under the thing to take a picture of the driven front wheels) - or did you just completely make it "xDrive" part up?

Has a lot more character than an audi and a lot better drivability i'm sure. After driving just about evry car in audis line up and driving evevry car in BMWs line up. I gotta say the drivability of the new one series is phenominal. Unlike Audis A series, they all feel like you've just come out of the dentist.

What is up with the BMW fanboys around here? Whenever someone comments about a BMW being bad in someway, he's downvoted to an abyss. the BMW 1 Series is one UGLY car, and if you happen to oppose that fact, then you're just tasteless and biased.

As far as i know BMW has never gone worng with their engines, performance or built quality, the only thing it worng at the moment is the bland/ugly styling and the way they named their cars these days.

tell you what BMW, put the engine from an M550d xdrive into a 1M coupe, give it xdrive - that will be one hell of a car.
