The E90 323i when equipped with an auto will lull anyone to sleep and make you nervous when passing, and finally the E7X line of vehicles. One of the absolute worst built vehicles out there... period. They're built with quality materials, sure, but they are slapped together without care and attention. Don't get me started on the fact that if ever something goes wrong and you need a part. You better hope the parts guy know what he's doing because half the parts in the BMW Parts catalogue are just plain listed wrong. The E70/71/72 is an excersise in how far you can go with brand perception and still get away with resting on your laurels.
