2013 Porsche Boxster real life footage [video]

This is the new 2013 Porsche Boxster (981) shot at a gas station in Stuttgart.

Yes, we're fully aware Porsche has already revealed the all-new Boxster last month, but this video sent in by DrGumoLunatic gives a better sense of the vehicle's real world presence as opposed to the glossy and heavily edited press photos and videos.

Despite the poor lighting and shaky cam, we still found the video interesting and hopefully you do too.

As a quick reminder, the base Boxster with a 2.7 liter flat-six engine produces 265 HP (261 bhp / 195 kW). The Boxster S gets a bigger 3.4-liter engine producing 315 HP (311 bhp / 232 kW). A six-speed gearbox is standard for both while the seven-speed PDK double clutch trans is optional.

Fuel consumption for the Boxster with PDK is 7.7l/100km (30.5 mpg US) and the Boxster S is 8.0l/100km (29.4 mpg US). 0-100 km/h sprints in the Boxster is 5.7 seconds and 5.0 seconds in the Boxster S.

being honest, i never liked the Boxster, the old shape looks like a cheap version of the Carrera GT, BUT this shape looks awesome, especially the back

I'll have to wait until I see it. While the 986 Boxster was a bit amorphous, the 987 has some nice 550 elements.

Same basic styling and proportions, specially the rear, as when it debuted 16 years ago! And for about 60K now in the states? I don't know...that's used Modena or slightly used 997 money...
