we won't live in a world where the average world income is going to be 100 g$ per year, with people in your mentality still being around nforspeed91. you might not like the x6 I completely respect however you can't call it pointless because everything this ML can do, the x6 can do it as-well+ looks much better IN MY POINT OF VIEW.

It seats one less person, in far less comfort (TBH, any SUV that can't seat seven apart from the RR is kind of pointless), with a much weaker all wheel drive system, far less luggage space, far less cabin space, in a much much uglier package.

@ Shumy Why would anyone buy an X6 which is just an X5 minus the practicality? The whole point of an suv is to carry people and stuff around which the X5 does well and the X6 doesn't.

Its 50k ? cheaper than in europe + the fuel in europe is 1,5?/liter.. who would want to buy this car, really...

Anyone who has money to buy this (i don't think the number is more than 0.5% of Europe+north America population) would get in a E or S or 5 series and think to him self what possible reason is there to spend so much money on such pointless useless tool.

Just because you don't like it/can't afford it doesn't mean it won't sell. The last ML sold very well especially in the Middle East and North America

@ automobile007 i think u live under a rock or u are a prince, otherwise u would know of the state of the global economy. the previous model was being sold in a different environment. At the moment every mass-production car company is downsizing their products to suit the rising cost of fuel, high unemployment numbers, and dropping markets and GDPs.

shaahinmt, you should brush up on your facts before you make a fool out of yourself. sure the global economy went bad. but people are still buying cars. audi, bmw and mercedes, among other luxury carmakers are posting record sales not only in the US but also due to strong demand in China, where the economy is actually growing. this is a middle class recession. the people who could afford these $90K+ cars in the first place are doing just as well as they were before this economic meltdown, if not even better.

The fugliest tail lights I have ever seen on a MB!! This is a very serious backward step in design. What kind of idiot would buy this over a BMW X5 M, a Range Rover Sport or Porsche Cayenne?!
January 28, 2012 8:23 am
actualy for me is a pretty good looking performance SUV...the X5M look a little bit outdated, the Range Sport is like a brick with awful driving performance, and yes Cayenne is a best in it's class...but hey the looks are subjected, for me this ML AMG is a close competitor to Cayenne, probably would be hard to decide between those two!
