According to a recent report by BMWBlog, the long awaited BMW M6 (F12) is due to have its media reveal next month. No sources have been identified, but it is also expected to make its public debut shortly after at the Geneva Motor Show in early March.
The M6 is believed to be getting a sportier suspension, carbon-ceramic brakes and lightweight alloy wheels while the same 4.4-liter V8 engine from the M5 gives the coupe and convertible 560 PS (412 kW / 552 hp) and 680 Nm (502 lb-ft) of torque that is mated a 7-speed M DCT transmission system.
According to sources, it will enable the M6 to accelerate from 0-62mph (0-100kph) in 4.2 seconds. Assuming we are talking about the coupe, this is 0.2 seconds quicker than its predecessor and suggests the convertible will achieve a time of around 4.5 seconds.
