Renault Alpine concept coming to Paris Motor Show - report
Production a possibility?
To celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Alpine A110, Renault will reportedly unveil something special at the Paris Motor Show.
Details are limited, but Renault Design Chief Laurens van den Acker told Autocar "it would be remiss not to do something" to celebrate the original model.
While the vehicle will likely be a concept, a production model appears to be under consideration. According to Renault Marketing Chief Steve Norman "We have to ask: ‘Is there room in today's car market to build something that could be compared to a Porsche?"

Ha! Daft French. I don't really like Porsche, but Renault is giving itself a bit too much credit there.

Why not? I am sure it would not hurt to launch a Porsche=rivaling sports car for the masses from an established car maker such as Renault.
