2013 Mazda 6 mule spied winter testing
Our spies are well and truly camped in the winter testing wonderland and they have now caught a prototype mule for the upcoming Mazda 6.
It is wearing the body of the current version, albeit with what looks like a huge amount of duct tape holding it together. It is wrapped around a new platform that is based on the 2013 CX-5 crossover.
Styling was previewed at the Tokyo Auto Show in October last year in the form Takeri Concept, it was the first vehicle to showcase the brand's new KODO design language. If there aren't too many changes come production time, we should expect a sleeker and sportier Maxda 6 that could even be billed as a four-door coupe.
The third-generation Mazda6 is due to hit showrooms in spring 2013.

I'm hoping it would stay true to the Takeri Concept in production form.

Will there be a 2.5L version of the SkyActiv-G for the Mazda 6?

This would flop. Price Should be lower than its competitors for the best case senario.

The North American version wasn't selling as well as expected, but they didn't axe it. That said, I hope to god that they learned their lesson and won't try to make a North American only version this time around. Just give us the same one as the rest of the world! Please!

Hopefully they make the new version smaller than the current. The current is too bloated and big in my opinion. The pre-2009 model was quite a looker.
