BMW planning touch sensitive fabric in future models?

Wow, that's a hefty dose of wealth envy for this early in the morning. Rest assured that the whole of BMW's resources are not devoted exclusively to this one feature... The advances under the EfficientDynamics banner are as impressive and innvoative, if not more so than those under the ConnectedDrive programs.

OK, I agree, I got a little carried away with the whole Touch Sensitive Fabric thing...I would always welcome new technology. I take back what I said about this technology. But let's concentrate on what's really important for a second. We need to put more emphasis on looking for a suitable solution or replacement for the current Li-Ion batteries...otherwise we gonna end up destroying what's left of Mother Earth mining for those Rare Earth Minerals...The last thing I wanna see is a lot of Giant Machines burrowing deep into mother earth looking for these stuff...I dont even think we can satisfy China's hunger for these minerals...what happens when the demand skyrockets around the world...You think you and I can stop the Corporate Giants from turning what little Forests and Jungles we have left into endless fields of Mines...Guys, the earth is already dying...You can call me paranoid if you want, but this is serious.

I agree with you and on that note, I also prefer to see leather on my dash and not some sort of polyester/nylon fabric.
