I love and race cars. I have had many cars including Lamborghini, Ferrari, Maserati, Aston Martin, BMW, MB, Corvette, Nissan Z's, and Porsche is the best for what you get! They dealerships are small with great personal service, the cars require minimal maintenance with just yearly oil changes(or 12,000 miles) and checkups. I have had 3 911's and a Boxster without any reliability problems. It is the most recognizable car in the world!

I saw this video prior to the launch of the new 911 (991) in Singapore. It was surreal yet emotive at the same time!

"Our identity is the 911" = True Story, and a sad one in my opinion. Every new Porsche goes 911-ish i.e. Panamera, Cayenne, etc. They could do a Pizza resemble a 911 and sell it for one million dollars... (and it would sell). BMW is doing the same non-sense in their Mini division!

The 911 design makes technical sense for a performance car... has huge engineering merit. Not as though they are compromising with the intent of the car just to keep the shape. Great concepts do not need to adapt with the fashions of the day.
