The Cadillac CTS-V hit the market in 2009, but it has taken until now to finally realise they should have a right-hand-drive version for the UK market.

General Motors marketing chief Joel Ewanick has admitted that the CTS-V is a "car designed for Europe," yet they didn't take one of Europe's largest car markets seriously. UK customers are currently limited to driving the inconvenient left-hand-drive version which is hardly ideal and surely loses the performance model a good number of sales. Therefore it is good news to hear Ewanick say "we’re geared up for right-hand drive now, we’re working on it."

The Cadillac CTS-V burns rubber to the tarmac with power from its supercharged 6.2-liter V8-engine. It produces 556 hp (564PS/415kW) and up to 747Nm (551 ft-lb) of torque which enables the model to propel from 0-60mph in 3.9 seconds.

Or because of the fact that most RHD markets have trashed Cadillacs in the past and they didn't think that they would open up.

There are plenty of other RHD markets that Cadillac is also trying to penetrate. India, Australia, Japan, South Africa, Hong Kong, Singapore and many others
