SPIED: 2012 BMW 135i hatchback M-Sport sheds more disguise
2012 BMW 135i with M-Sport package prototype spy photo / S.B. Medien

The three door hatchback version of the BMW 135i M-Performance has been caught by our spies while doing its latest round of testing. The new pictures show the prototype with even less disguise leaving pretty much every design line and feature on view to the naked eye.

The model features larger air intakes that give it a slightly more aggressive appearance compared to the standard model and from the rear we can see twin tailpipes poking out either side of the number plate.

What we can't see from these pictures is the twin-turbo 3.0-liter that is under the hood. The power unit will generate around 322 hp (240 kW, 326 PS) and up to 450 Nm (332 ft-lb) of torque and is set to be mated to either a six-speed manual or a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic.

BMW has already announced they will be debuting a number of M-Performance models at the forthcoming Geneva Motor Show. The BMW 135i M-Performance that you see before you will be amongst these unveilings.

I don't see anything wrong with ZMP on every model. M Sport models has been around since the begining. More choices are always good, especially sporty options.

It's still ugly....but then again the power available combined with the low weight of the car will mean you probably won't see it. No complaints about the interior though
