Japanese tuning firm Veilside is presenting today the SL-Class Black Fortune at the Tokyo Auto Salon.

Tackling the Mercedes-Benz SL-Class for the first time, Veilside has created a body conversion package strongly inspired by the Mercedes-benz SL 65 AMG Black Series - but clearly not a full replica.

Instead Veilside has taken the SL 65 Black Series' shape as a basis and added tastefully restrained details making this quite an interesting interpretation.

In fact, Veilside made it easy for us to spot the design changes they have made. Just look for the exposed bits of carbon fiber.

But the carbon doesn't end there. The entire body kit which consists of a front bumper, hood, fenders, side skirts, rear bumper and rear spoiler are made of carbon fiber.

Veilside will only produce 300 kits of the SL Black Fortune at a price of 3,000,000 JPY ($39,000 / €31,000).

We'll be sure to add more photos once we get our hands on some.

a very welcome surprise from Veilside, a company who usually makes very outrageous and sometime hideous looking aero kits
