The BMW 3-Series long-wheelbase version will only be available to the Chinese market and is scheduled to be launched in April to anticipated consumers. Fortunately Chinese website Autohome has managed to snag a few pictures of a development model and have presented them for all the world to see.

The 335Li pictured here shares the same platform as the upcoming BMW 3 Series Gran Turismo, it has a little extra leg room over the regular 3-series sedan and is designed to be used primarily as a chauffeur car.

Expect to see the long-wheelbase model unveiled for the first time at the Beijing Auto Show.

Why do the people with the shorter legs get long wheel base yet us taller westerners don't? Bizarre indeed!
