2013 Dodge Dart leaked ahead of Detroit debut [video]

The Alfa-Dodge-Meo

On the eve of the North American International Auto Show, the 2013 Dodge Dart has been leaked in all its glory.

Essentially a Caliber replacement, the Dart is a four-door sedan which is based on the Alfa Romeo Giulietta but rides on a modified Compact U.S. Wide (CUSW) platform. It features an aggressive front fascia, a crosshair grille and optional 18-inch alloy wheels. Out back, there's "racetrack" tail lights, a dual exhaust system and an integrated trunk spoiler.

The interior is a huge leap forward as it has soft-touch materials, ambient lighting and color-keyed accents. Options include a heated steering wheel, a digital instrument cluster and an 8.4-inch Uconnect Touch infotainment system.

Under the hood, three engines will be available: a 1.4-liter MultiAir Turbo, a 2.0-liter Tigershark and a 2.4-liter MultiAir Tigershark. They can be connected to three different transmissions which are expected to include a six-speed TCT (Twin Clutch Transmission) and a nine-speed automatic.

The Dodge Dart will be officially unveiled on Monday, so stay tuned for full details.

Well if ford had decided to stay with the old escort boot style hatch design instead of goin with the focus i think this would have been the design direction they would have taken..... Disappointed im hoping its just the colour but i have a feeling its not

Eh...the side looks kind of like the last-gen Hyundai Elantra to me...well, maybe it'll look better in person at the auto show next week. I do like the wheels and front/rear fascia, though, and I LOVE the interior.

1st any anybody who has the money to buy a car should comment, not the ones who are broke, can't afford, and plain like to place hate messages. For the later head to Motortrend blog. The car is descent design, much like attractive Audi in the plebian target market. Problem it is just like an Audi, nice and untrustworthy as a brand, attractive but unreliable! I hope Fiat has done a turnaround in improving the expectations of Chrysler/Dodge very poor supplier base!

car looks pretty ok! But hey.. That is such a cheap copy of the Audi Q5, when it comes to have the text in the front light indicators.
