MINI Cargo variant to debut in Geneva
Embedded within BMW corporate circles, German print magazine Auto Motor und Sport has uncovered that MINI will reveal a new variant at the Geneva Motor Show in March next year.
Based on the Clubman wagon model, the commercial van variant will be called the MINI Cargo. The rear seats will be removed to make way for a flat loading floor. Just like the Opel Astravan and Peugeot 207 Van, the rear side windows will also be blocked, or in this case replaced with sheet metal as a continuous quater panel joins the roof.
The MINI Cargo is targeted to small delivery services such as flower, parcel or pizza businesses.

Yeah, but this isnt aimed to be a van, it will be priced wrong, Im certain. This is just a light weight, sportier mini, that can carry your hiking equipment, not sure if its big enough 4 a snowboard...

This will be a runaway success. I've been wondering when they were going to bring this out.

The original Mini has had a van variant since the 60's. It's an iconic commercial vehicle that was bound to be recreated.

ok. maybe I don't understand the target market. Audi needs to respond with an A1 mini-van to compete with it? These cars are fashion statements. Was the original anything like that? and, was it priced at a premium back then like it is today?
