In promotion of the new Citigo, Skoda is targeting young demographic groups with an exclusive music video by "international megastar DJ and producer Tiësto." Unfortunately, in order to see the video and hear his most recent track "What Can We Do (A Deeper Love)" it is required to "Like" Skoda's facebook page first.
So, if you're a big fan of the Dutch DJ, who is "widely regarded as the greatest DJ of all time," clicking that "Like" button is an obvious choice. However, if you have no idea who this purported megastar is, as we certainly don't (perhaps showing our age), one of his tracks in the video above has been added. Surely, you'll get the idea.
In the meantime, we'll let you know that the Citigo, which is a brand variant of the Volkswagen Up!, is a new supermini for the Czech brand. With a length of 3.56 meters, a width of 1.64 meters, and a height of 1.48 meters, it is one of the smallest compact superminis on the market seating four persons. The Citigo has received 5 stars (highest rating) in the Euro NCAP crash test and in its first month of sales received more than 1,000 orders.
"The Citigo represents ŠKODA's entry into a new segment for the company and wants to capture new customers. In order to achieve this goal, we need to find new ways for our communication as well. Therefore, the partnership with Tiësto is a perfect match," says Jürgen Stackmann, the ŠKODA board member for Sales and Marketing. "The Citigo is an attractive, fresh small car that fulfils the highest standards regarding quality and safety. This car fits the times and is a perfect match for the Facebook generation, who we want to address directly through this partnership," according to Stackmann.
How many of you are fans of Tiësto? Because we are not, but we're curious how truly pervasive his popularity is or dance music in general amongst WCF readers. Answer the poll below and leave a comment.
