"Had a moment of clarity", "life flashed before my eyes", "almost became room temperature" are expressions to describe moments like this.
Somewhere on a motorway in Russia, two guys narrowly escaped a potentially fatal crash as a tractor trailer truck coming in the opposite direction jackknifed and just missed them.
Looking carefully at the video the lorry in front of our subjects begins to pull over to the side of the road, presumably to avoid the on coming 18-wheeler that has lost control. Meanwhile, unaware of the jackkniffing truck fast approaching, our subjects attempt to pass the pulled over lorry in front of them only to realize their impending doom. Nothing they can do but stop and pray for the best.
Unfortunately we can't translate what our subjects are saying after the situation passes without incident, but they sound quite relieved.
