2012 Porsche Boxster spied undisguised in silver
The 2012 Porsche Boxster has been caught once again by our spies whilst undergoing testing in rainy conditions, this time sporting a silver exterior paint with extremely minimal disguising.
The model in development will have a lower ride height in comparison to the current generation and you will also notice the uncanny styling similarity between this and the latest Porsche 911 (991).
Power is expected to be drawn from a 2.9-liter flat six engine if earlier reports prove to be correct. Under the hood of the more powerful Boxster S will be a 3.4-liter flat six with around 315 hp (235 kW / 319 PS) and 360 Nm (266 lb-ft) of torque.
We expect to see the new Boxster unveiled for the first time at the 2012 Geneva Motor Show in March.

I thought it was rumored to debut in Detroit this coming January? It seems like every time there are leaked photos or photos of a barely disguised car the official debut follows soon after.

Completely undisguised photos have been available on Road and Track for a while now ...

They could put a completely undisguised Boxster and I probably wouldn't have a clue.
IT LOOKS EXACTLY THE SAME

I like it, and I normally don't like boxsters... have my taste buds changed?

I know what you're talking about...it's happened to me too.
It's not your taste buds...it has something to do with aging....

I see that the piece that divides the taillight makes the bottom half of the lights look like the new 911's taillights.
