Its been reported on some sites that the rear will have a black section like the xj does which sounds interesting, its looking nice so far

I reckon you're right - those XF saloon lights look stuck on to disguise a different rear. I'm sure it'll be a great alternative to the ambiguous A4 Avants / 3 Series Tourings / C-Class Estates on British roads, but can't help think the shape looks a little bit like a Holden Commodore wagon in Australia: http://www.carsguide.com.au/images/uploads/Holden-Commodore-wagon-green-3.jpg

Oh I've been looking forward to this car. It's just a shame they probably won't offer it in a manual :(

big cars are better automatic. small and proper sporty cars need manual. plus the autos these days are faster and generally more economical than the manuals anyway. the paddles are there for manual control

It is a Jagg not a Toyota. all luxury cars deserves an auto box - it has flappy paddles if you want to engage in spirited driving - if that is not enough for you then you want the car for the wrong reasons.

I agree my dad as an xf and the manual paddles are great much better to use than my manual gearbox on my five series if u want to use it as a manual

"all luxury cars deserves an auto box" I disagree, I like driving a luxury car as much as anyone, but I like the added economy, power and reduced CO2 emissions that come from a manual gearbox, I also like the fact that a manual gearbox constantly engages you in driving even if you are just taking a lazy Sunday drive. If you drive an automatic you need not take a Sunday drive at all. Just sit at home and watch driver POV videos on youtube, it is basically the same thing. I learnt to drive in an automatic and vowed that I would never drive a manual. However after learning a manual I discovered that it is a completely different experience and now I don't think I will ever own another automatic again..
