Bugatti Veyron battles the Koenigsegg CCXR [video]

King and Koenig

If you didn't like yesterday's race between the Audi RS5 and Mercedes C63 AMG Coupe, perhaps some Bugatti vs. Koenigsegg action will do the trick.

As two of the most powerful supercars ever produced, you've probably already made your bet on which car is the fastest. If not, keep in mind the CCXR has 1,032 PS (759 kW / 1018 hp) while the Veyron only packs 1,001 PS (736 kW / 987 hp).

Is power everything it's cracked up to be? Check out the video to find out.

I love them both but I still want a Koenigsegg more than a Bugatti!

Now, let's see the Veryon pass the CCXR on a road coarse or a proper track, not a straight line. The Veryon might be the king of the 1/4 mile, but from all of the reviews, tests and so on, it can't take on anything with a turn, maybe it was designed for NASCAR... whoooaaa!

Well how about top gear then? They tested it wrong? It can do corners too, altough youre right, it wasn't designed for them in mind.

Top Gear is far from being a legitimate review show, it is more about entertainment than actual reviews (they also have stopped making claims themselves about being a legitimate review show, it's just automobile entertainment, the test of the Tesla is pretty much proof of that, where they even admitted they screwed with the car for entertainment value). Legitimate reviews, such as Car and Driver, Autoweek, and so on (just to name some of the bigger more well known ones) pretty much supported the other views saying that this car is fast, but in a straight line and that is pretty much it. It can do corners, you know those things that are essential to racing, driving and pretty much being a non 1/4 mile car, but most cars at that price range can do far better than it. Perfect example is the Enzo, I remember a while backing seeing it put against the Veryon and completely trashed it at Spa, where the Veryon was faster on the straights, but had worse acceleration on the car with both using track tires and it was just blown away on the corners. Not trying to be an ass here, but it is the basic truth about it (it's not like I have anything to gain here with this comment).

its a ccxF, not a ccxR, pause the video at 0:15 and you'll see to be honest, i don't know much about Koenigsegg, so the car may not be stock? meaning that it is a ccxR that has been customised and re-named ccxF? let me know, but don't be negative please =-)

Did the CCXR jump the start or the Veyron's driver was asleep?

Lol, love Russia, the people of the place make my holidays there truly fun. They all seem to be clinically insane, but in a good way. SALUT!
