Need for Speed: The Run trailer directed by Michael Bay [video]

Famed Hollywood action-film director takes a shot at selling a video game in this 2 minute trailer for the upcoming video game

What can be more over the top than a Michael Bay directed trailer for the upcoming video game Need for Speed: The Run?

Bay has probably accumulated plenty of experience cutting trailers for his action-packed films such as the Transformers series as well as such histrionic classics like The Rock, Armageddon and Pearl Harbor.

With all that you would expect the trailer to be insanely dense (which it is) but it still turns out to be rather conventional (even tame by today's standards) with the usual power-drifts and spin-outs as well as humans and automobiles conducting acrobatics in accordance with the laws of physics that apply only to video games.

We do like that Bullit-like chase through the streets of San Francisco.

This seems like the most promising NFS since Carbon.

Not to be a hater, but I would still rather have Forza 4.

I don wanna be THAT guy, but... I know the rock had some history (minute amouts, mind you), but how was Armageddon historic? I don think that was even remotely based on any sort of real life story/ situation, etc. Now, WCF, I know its not U, but if EA can't get their facts straight, please kindly correct them on behalf of those that live in THIS reality (though theirs looks much more interesting, but...)
