Mercedes ML63 AMG coming to L.A. Auto Show - report
Could have 525 PS (386 kW / 518 hp)
According to a recent report, Mercedes will unveil the 2012 ML63 AMG at the Los Angeles Auto Show in November.
As previous spy photos have shown, the model will feature an aggressive body kit, a revised grille and a four-tailpipe exhaust system. We can also expect a sport-tuned suspension, beefier brakes and AMG wheels.
Power will likely be provided by a twin-turbo 5.5-liter V8 with 525 PS (386 kW / 518 hp) and 700 Nm (516 lb-ft) of torque. However, an optional performance package could increase those numbers to 557 PS (410 kW / 550 hp) and 800 Nm (590 lb-ft) of torque.

So, there will be an ML350, The Bluetec, and an ML63? Have they done away with the 550 model?

??? the other models you mentioned are already in dealerships and driveways. The new AMG "63" uses the twin turbo 5.5 litre engine...the ML 550 uses a non-aspirated version of the same engine...

the 550 is a different engine from the amg 5.5. the 4.7 twin turbo however is a downsized version of the amg 5.5

Just like the new 63 motor is a 5.5 twin turbo, the new 550 is the 4.7 twin turbo, both models still available the amg's just tend to take a 1/2 year or more after the initial launch of the new model itself

I know the differences in the engines, but there is no 550 model offered on the 2012+ models. Not in Germany or the US, and no mention has been made toward one being added to the lineup. I'm guessing they've been done away with.
