MINI Countryman Prodrive under development - report
Revised styling, added performance
If the MINI Countryman JCW hasn't sparked your interest, perhaps the upcoming Prodrive variant will do the trick.
Inspired by the Countryman WRC, which was developed by Prodrive, the street-legal model is expected to feature an aerodynamic body kit, unique alloy wheels and a carbon fiber rear wing.
Power will reportedly come from a turbocharged 1.6-liter petrol engine that has been equipped with an optimized ECU and a sports exhaust system. Sources say the mill will produce 230 hp (172 kW / 233 PS), but a larger turbocharger is under consideration.

Ohh.... When I saw this post I thought it would be something bold like the old Prodrive P2, with all sorts of gizmos packed on it. Oh well let's wait and see what magic Prodrive has got to give on this car then.
