This set of spy shots is of the Roding Roadster by the German specialty marque.
Roding Automobile is currently in the final stages of development on the Roadster and has brought the model to the Nürburgring for some testing. The Roadster is now sporting a new design with softer lines and a more traditional styling than the last one we've seen which was a concept study.
The Roding Roaster is a bare-bones, lightweight car with a chassis cell made of carbon fiber reinforced plastic (CFRP) and front and rear subframes made from an aluminum-CFRP hybrid structure. Engine will be a six-cylinder unit producing 300 PS (220 kW / 295 hp) and 400 Nm (295 lb-ft) of torque, coupled to a six-speed manual gearbox, and specs will be quick with the Roadster sporting a total curb weight of just 950 kg (2090 lbs).
The Roding Roadster is set for an unveiling in the spring of 2012 and will go on sale shortly thereafter.
