VW recalls 168,000 diesel vehicles in the U.S.
Recall includes the Golf, Jetta and Audi A3 models
VW of America is recalling 168,275 VW and Audi brand vehicles due to faulty fuel injectors in certain diesel models.
The vehicles recalled include the 2009-2012 Jetta 2.0 liter TDI, 2010-2012 Golf 2.0 liter TDI and the 2010-2012 Audi A3 2.0 liter TDI.
According to documents VW filed with the National Highway Transportation Safety Administration (NHTSA), vibrations in the fuel-injectors may cause cracks to form in the fuel lines which can lead to a fire hazard. VW says it has had no reports of fires or accidents with regard to the faulty injectors.
VW says it will install new dampers in the recalled vehicles to reduce vibration and replace fuel injector lines where needed.

That goes to prove that cheaper is not better, I can't help but think this is a product of making a "cheaper" Jetta for the US.

This has all to do with the engine and nothing to do with the Jetta...thats why it affects more than just Jettas...

This is how VW wants to conquer the world, plz Mr. Winterkorn don't make me laugh. Anybody thinks VW is good is like a Ford or GM owner, just use to living with issues that make them dip into their pockets for the sake of...who cares! Buy a Toyota or Honda since they have only world-class parts suppliers that are the envy of other manufacturers. At times these car companies got to eat up their pride and/or large profits and use them at times.
