Starts at £68,000

Following Friday's teaser, Ginetta has revealed their new G60 sports car.

Essentially a revised Farbio GTS, the G60 has a carbon fiber body, LED-infused headlights and a sporty rear fascia. The car also has a limited-slip differential, but forgoes power steering, anti-lock brakes and traction control for an undiluted driving experience.

Power comes from a Ford Mustang-sourced 3.7-liter V6 engine with 310 hp (231 kW / 314 PS). This doesn't sound overly impressive, but the company says the 1,100 kg (2,425 lbs) coupe can accelerate from 0-60 mph in less than four seconds and hit a top speed of 165 mph (265 km/h).

Early last year Ginetta announced the buy out of Farbio and launched the F400 to commemorate the occasion.

Production of the G60 will be limited to 50 units and pricing starts at £68,000 (€78,930 / $104,595).

It might be 100bhp down on the F400 it used to be, but I bet it's still a great drive, plus it's now £30k cheaper than the F400. All good.

would be cool if they had put a detune race engine...instead of an industrial engine

looks like it came from the '90s. I guess these small manufacturers can't afford to hire a good designer. The guys from Artega made the effort to hire Fisker for their car and it looks good : http://www.clusterflock.org/artega-gt-1.jpg

they are ganna build 50 cars with an insane price tag for whats standard. might as well not bother. a buyer can get a Porsche, Corvette, Lotus, M3, or many other great cars which have proved themselves why would some one buy this car. Only reason that this would sell would be to drop the 1. price to 20-25 gran$ 2. sell all across america and europe 3. add as standard ABS, a four cylinder turbo engine and a 6spd gear box.

Exclusivity i guess would be the reason people would buy this instead of a corvette or a porsche

man there is nothing exclusive about this car. looks like lotus, and has a ford mustang engine. for a 105 grand price tag, you can buy cars two times more exclusive than this thing

Ginetta's pair of highly competitive one-make race series might mean that fans who want a piece of the racecar action would want one (or the G40R directly based on the Juniors car), or people who want something different. Besides, for all we know that 1100kg V6 car might be a blast to drive.

The 300hp in a 5,000lbs Mustang feels awesome, I'm sure it will be astonishing in a car half the weight! I also like how they didn't put on all the stupid electronic nannies. This should be an amazing car.

Wow ! Yet another lightweight hardcore British sports car "built in a shed" !! From the front end it feels like its got some DNA from the Noble M600 somehow...
