The Vision SCR is the American muscle car for the 21st century [video]
Envisioned to have a V8 and a V12
The Vision SCR has been in development for almost decade, but Done in 60 Seconds has just had a chance to scope it out.
Created by John Misumi, the $2 (€1.5) million prototype was designed to be an "American muscle car for the next millennium." While there's no word on when it will go into production, the company envisions the SCR would be offered with a 630 hp (470 kW / 639 PS) 6.2-liter V8 and a 700 hp (522 kW / 710 PS) 6.0-liter V12. It would be connected to a six-speed manual or an electronically-controlled dual-clutch automatic.
Other highlights include an aluminum chassis, a carbon fiber body and targeted weight between 2,450 and 2,875 lbs (1,111 and 1,304 kg).

the 90's called, they want their amorphous blob back. Proportions are terrible too.

It's been in development for 10 years, and it would have looked outdated 10 years ago. Time for a redesign maybe?

Dude don't get me wrong, i mean it's truly amazing that he was able to bring this, his lifelong dream, into fruiton, into a real car that you can actually drive.
BUT... he is trying to sell it. And purely as a product, i'm saying i don't like it.

That exact car was a concept car at the 1989 LA autoshow. It was marketed as a Pontiac. I dont know what next millennium the creator is talking about , more like the last millennium. Can I also point out that it sounds like a rattling garbage can at idle.

I knew the car looked familiar, you are right on the dot. I remember seeing it at an autoshow in Toronto back in the early 90's, it could have been 89 though.

After 10 years they realized that they forgot to design wheels for it, so they just said screw it lets put some Forgiatos on there.

The (partial) Ford pickup truck steering wheel doesn't help either?

I love dreams but I'm so burned out on these cars that don't deserve to get made or even reported on. Advice to any would-be car maker reading here - MAKE your car first then talk.
