LED wheels lights - the ultimate car accessory for poseurs [video]
Perhaps these wheels aren't as garish as the Pimpstar wheels (see video below) but be forewarned as these wheels are known to attract swarms of fireflies trying to mate with your car.

Unlike that looser, I don't need shiny wheels to attract women... Kinda ghetto, gonna see them all over the road soon I guess. Wanna guess who the first rapper to have it in his video?
It's a great idea as an advert on a taxi cab, but not to something I'd customize my car with....

Why is he a "looser" (lol) when this is just an advertisement? You sound like that grumpy old man yelling at kids to "Get off my lawn!" while waving his fist like a maniac. I am assuming you also don't need proper spelling or grammar to "get women" either.
This is just one of many types of car accessories. No big deal. I many not want it for my car, but if I saw someone driving with it in Miami, it would probably be somthing interesting to see.
I'm a little ashamed of WCF for putting the word "poseur" in their title. I expect commenters to say it, but I expect the editors of WCF to be a bit more objective.

I would say, not too long ago I was talking to my cousin about a great idea where one had lights on there wheels. Great minds think alike I suppose. And yes I would like some credit for my ideas:). Thank you!

Prolly be illegal in california, considered distraction to other drivers, just like the neon lights under the car.

Actually it is more destracting, since you can post messages, drivers of other cars will be looking to read the message and the driver of the car is going to be looking to see if anyone is reading it, either way it will cause someone to take their eyes of the road. If I had a set of these I'd stick with just having them lit or an interesting pattern.

im usually the grumpy old man around here but if executed correctly (like this guy did!) it will look awesome!

hmmm, I'm starting to feel old, not sure I want to see ads glowing at me on wheels now, Vote for blah blah, Eat at Mcdonalds, yikes!!! Leds wheels would be way cool for night races like 24hr Lemans etc.

yeah its for poseurs. i dont see any reason why you want to have a glowing wheels unless you are showing off!

I wonder if they will bring out Orange ones for that glowing disc brake look.

I saw something similar for bicycles on CNET (white on front, red on the back), but that actually makes sense as it helps make a bike visible. This doesn't - purely a distraction much like the underside neon lights.

Weather its for poseurs or not, it should not have been in the title of the article. The forums here allow the rest of us to decide. As far as I know they simply publish the articles with no bias what so ever. That being said...... the guy was driving a very clean 7 series , he has money, but I would never do that. ....... FAIL.

I've seen that only on BMW, mainly mounted behind the rims of 7-series. Sort of unsurprising for some reason.

I saw this on youtube last week and for a moment, I was thinking about doing it to my bike ...then I hit myself; common sense followed.

Yeh, it takes too long to spell it all, and write full paragraphs on a phone. It consumes too much time just like commenting on ones spelling and grammar mistakes while making spelling and grammar mistakes, but I appreciate the effort.
I know it was an advertisement, I was referring to the stereotype that they portray with my choice of words.
The only reason why you trying to bash me with your comment is probably because you own an Escalade with Dumb (sorry mispelled Dub) wheels on it hoping it attracts women (that's plural for a woman).
You could have just agreed that you wouldn't have this on your car, as I wouldn't either, and call it a day. But you had to bash my comment.

An evolution of the tire-valve light bulb that came out in the late 90's I guess.
FYI red (except for tail lights) & blue bulbs on civilian cars are illegal. They can only be used on police & emergency vehicles.
It's amusing...but I wouldn't do that to my car.
I would sceretly do that on the car of someone I don't like so everyone would look at him while he drives down the road at night...

lol reminds me of when my co workers took rope light and spelled out that the driver of the car is gay everytime he hit the brake lmao. I think he almost got rear ended by someone that got distracted by it lol
