Baby squirrels rescued from a BMW Z4 M at Watkins Glen
Aww, cute
A bizarre rescue took place at Watkins Glen, during the BMW CCA driving school, when the owner of a Z4 M coupe discovered six baby squirrels living in the car's airbox.
After hearing odd sounds coming from under the hood, the participant pulled over and discovered the critters crawling around inside. Thankfully, the airbox was removed and the squirrels escaped unharmed.
Thanks for the tip Christo!

My neighbor across the street had a rat get into his SLK and it chewed through the main wiring harness, the car was completely immobilized and had to be towed out to be repaired.

Lol yeah, setting up their cozy home in an "ultimate driving machine" would be a wonderful choice.

BMW should make an add. "The new Z4M, powered by baby squirrels".

Looking at the license plate (Ontario, Canada), the driver should take care otherwise he'll be charged with illegal immigration of squirrels...

We have movies about dancing/singing chipmunks and G Force guinea pigs as action heros. Maybe now we'll have a movie about racing squirrels too. These were baby squirrels by the way so they were born in the airbox and had probably never been outside the engine bay because their mother was stashing acorns for them there. Now they've survived the first few days in the wilderness and will next be seen hanging off racecars at the October club race at NHMS, then off to Spa, Monza, the 'Ring, Motegi, Interlagos and a huge home coming in the U.S. This will be fun!! Check www.onehotlap.com as the news develops in the next few days.
