Super Nissan Juke to receive GT-R powertrain

Super Nissan Juke to receive GT-R powertrain
Nissan Super Juke rendering, 800, 26.09.2011

Nissan Europe has confirmed that a study of a one-off high-powered Juke crossover is underway.

Almost as bizarre as the marriage between Woody Allen and his adopted step-daughter Soon Yi, this unholy communion takes the awkwardly cute Nissan Juke and impregnates it with the awesome powertrain from the Nissan GT-R turning it into an oxymoron - a super compact crossover.

The vehicle, targeted to young excentrics, is internally dubbed "Super Juke". With the twin-turbo 3.8-liter V6 which produces 530 PS (390 kW / 520 hp) transplanted from the Nissan GT-R, the Super Juke should accelerate from 0-to-60 in less than four seconds.

Super sports styling will also be in full effect with enlarged wheel arches, front splitter, two-story rear wing and stripped-out interior for reduced weight.

This obscure collision of mechanical DNA could just be exactly what the industry needs right now. Not only does it have the potential to amaze and convert new Nissan fans but it could jump start the newest trend in concept tuning amongst auto makers.

Triple thumbs up from us!

man there is no way to compare this car with world's best SUV's such as Porsche Cayenne and BMW X5M... This Nissan will be a cheap, poor quality, ugly SOV (?) with an amazing, fast, big, powerful engine. Hope I was able to express myself...

Wonder which bully driver on the road will have the pleasure of mistakingly picking on the seemingly benign Juke for a race.

Ugliest car with ultrapowered powertrain will have big problems with handling: short wheel base and highly located center of gravity is not good for sports car. It will be better if GT-R engine and transmission will be put on Infiniti FX
