2014 Chevrolet Corvette to get a seven-speed manual - report
Pushrod V8 also expected
According to Inside Line, a "trusted source" has confirmed the 2014 Chevrolet Corvette (C7) will offer a seven-speed manual transmission. If this is correct, the car could offer improved fuel efficiency and tighter gearing.
The source also said the model will feature a pushrod V8 engine with direct-injection and variable timing.
Regardless, GM has already announced the next-generation Corvette will be "world-class" and built at the Bowling Green Assembly plant in Kentucky.

Americans try. Magnetic ride control years ahead of anything German. Americans were managed purly, but now think Gernan will have to lose another war.

It just can't look like this unless they are only planning on selling this to their current owner base.

if they want to sell it all over the world , they should hire an Italian to help with the design. any Italian would do.

i don't know in what world you live, but in Europe it's a gray market car and over here it's more expensive than a 911 turbo.

How coincidental that they should announce this after Porsche unveiled the 7-Manual in the 991 911...

The Corvette has been selling since the 50's with a shape and style that reflects back to the original vette. Don't flatter your selves by saying it copies anything european.

Auto clutches are the way to go especially in the real high horsepower cars and they save you from a missed shift that could cost you thousands

Respect to Corvette engineering. This is a wonderful car that has come a long way. Some of us wish we could buy it in Europe for what is worth in America.

World-class build, I truly hope that American super cars can find it's way upstream. This is a great car, and I think that it deserves great build quality!
