Just plain weird Toyota Prius ad [video]

Advertisement shows an unusual creature which is made out of people

It's a guy made out of people.

Toyota USA has created this advertisement for the Prius model range called People Person. Oh, now we get it.

The point is to say that there is a different Prius model for everyone. But we're not sure what makes the Prius more of a populist vehicle than any other car.

The ad is just plain weird...a guy made out of people...okay, we'll go as far as 'mildy amusing', but that's it.

The guys who came up with the idea are plain genius out of the box thinkers in my opinion. I would want people like that working for me. The guy who 'ok'ed this commercial is a different story. It's one of the weirdest most disturbing things I have seen, on par with creating a human being out of various bits of other human beings aka Frankenstein.

I remembered seeing the "people person" in a commercial and thinking it was very weird, but I didn't know it was a Prius commercial til I came across it on WorldCarFans. ;) Such as most commercials I guess, you don't understand or forget who they are for/about.

No. I'd tell them to refine the concept so it wouldn't make me think the Prius is part of an underground cannibalism ring or come up with something else and 99 times out of a 100 their second (third, fourth, etc.) attempt would have been better.
