World's cheapest car gets an upgrade worth $4.7 million

This Tato Nano has a few options on it that will make it a little pricier than a standard version - which is one of the world's cheapest automobiles.

It comes encrusted with 80 kilograms of 22 carat gold, another 15 kg of silver and thousands of precious and semi-precious gems.

All that makes this Nano worth around $4.7 million.

All it needs now is a reason for its existence.

Wow...what a dress-up for the car that was to replace the scooter as a method of transport for poor Indian families! Well...labor is cheap in India...they'll probably just have someone take them all off at the end of the display. I'd like to know how the added weight affected the already terrible drivability of the Nano.
