The video from our friend and partner Marchettino takes us up close to the Mercedes-Benz C63 AMG Black Series, including that lush interior.

The C63 AMG Black Series features a naturally-aspirated 6.3 liter V8 engine with 517 PS (380 kW / 510 hp) and 620 Nm (457 lb-ft) of torque coupled to the AMG SPEEDSHIFT MCT 7-speed sports transmission with a rear axle differential lock.

The 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) sprint takes just 4.2 seconds.

These figures are the normal configuration which was on the E63. Why not equip it with the performance package and raise the output to 530? But I have to say it's looks gorgeous in red. Since it is a BS then what have they done to reduce the weight other than the sport seats?

They should have made the b-pillar part of a strut brace/roll cage type thing. I guess MB were thinking of keeping cost and weight down.

i dont understand the sudden rush f black series from MB. the SLS is relatively "new", and the C-coupe is New. why realease now the "ultimate" black series? i thought manufacturers realeased these "extreme" versions at the end, just when they are ready to replace it. (like the SL black, like Lambos superlegera or ferrari's scuderia)

It simply looks stunning... I mean it is perfect coupe.. Not impressed with the 0-60 timings though.. My remapped 335i does 4.2..

It looks great but some magazines have clocked the regular c63 sedan at 3.9 to 60 with the p31 package so, I would think that with good tires and a nice launch this would run the same if not a few tenths quicker.
