2012 Porsche 911 Carrera S design heritage - from the past to today [video]

Video animation shows the evolution of the 911 design from its inception to the current generation

This video features an animation that chronicles the evolution of the Porsche 911 design from its inception to today.

Interestingly, as the cars morph from one iteration to the other, the last generation 911 bursts apart only to be re-coagulated as the new 2012 Porsch 911 Carrera S. Porsche, we guess, wants to distinguish the current generation as being original and more than just an evolution of the previous generation.

Very nice trip through the history of the Carrera. The new one that was just launched just doesn't seem right...(don't get me wrong it's a nice iteration of the 911...and a nice car...but something's just not right...) I have a feeling the new Carrera will look more polished next time around when the face-lift is due.

So the 911 is actually a T-1000? Explains so much.
